My most recent series, «Self Studies» looks at my relationship with myself and reflects on it. In this series I attempted to both innovate and look towards a new artistic future in sometimes funny or ironic self-portraits and sometimes deeply contemplative and looks inward. The themes range from artistic egoism and asserting ones identity, to need for rest and calm and the value of human existence in the face of eternity. While the symbolism may seem random at times, I believe this work shows a glimpse inside both my artistic-and thought process.
